Glastonbury Chorus is a nonprofit corporation that is a community-based
chorus. It has been
singing for nearly 20 years. Along with presenting annual Winter
and Spring concerts, we sing regularly at area nursing homes and senior
living facilities. The chorus has also performed at special events like
the Glastonbury Art Show, the Apple Festival, Race for Life, the
holiday tree lighting and the opening of the Welles-Turner library
addition. The chorus is sponsored, in part, by the town of
Glastonbury which provides facilities to rehearse and perform.
The mission of the Glastobury Chorus is to bring
together people who love to sing and educate them and the public about
choral music and singing.
Member dues and concert receipts cover many of the
expenses, but we also need the support of individuals, groups and
businesses to sustain and expand our activities.
We encourage you to
help sponsor the chorus, either with a donation or by
taking out an advertisement in our printed concert program. Several
levels of participation are
offered. Please refer to the links to the left for more details.
Please note, the Glastonbury Chorus is currently
applying for Sec. 501(c)(3) status. However, currently donations are
not tax deductable.
